With a few modifications, we now have a Leg Saver Splint for use on a hind leg.

Notice how the aluminum has been formed to more closely match the anatomy of a hind leg. 

An optional spacer bar (shown below), made of 5/8" square aluminum bar, is located on the back of the hoof holder.  This spacer bar provides seven degrees of incline to relieve pressure at the injured area.
