This special table, for surgery of animals weighing up to 500 pounds, was designed with the assistance of the veterinary staff at the University of California-Davis.

The table top is fabricated with 1/4" thick aluminum measuring 24x62".  The top can be raised, lowered or tilted by four 12 volt actuators which are activated by two toggle switches.  The table can be raised from 16" to 39" in approximately 15 seconds.  The frame is constructed of 2 1/2 x 1 1/2" steel tubing, and the lifting arms of 5/8" steel, stainless shafts and bronze bushings.

An overhead framework for dorsal position arthroscopic surgery is available.  The adjustable and removable framework can also be used for an IV holder.    Dorsal support is available with two 8" wide sections which can be hand-cranked to different angles.  An optional waterbed mattress is available.

A separate IV holder (A) and holder socket are provided. A variety of leg supports (B) fit into two 8x24" leg platforms (C).  The platforms fit into pockets in various locations on the sides, and end of the table.  A head board side extension (D) measuring 15x16" fits into slots located on the removable head board  (E) which  secures to either end of the table and measures 15x22".  Portability is provided by four soft-tread wheels rated at 400 lbs. each.  The table can be moved to various locations with the use of push/pull handles (F), even over rough surfaces.  Hand brakes located on the wheels secure the table into position.  An animal can be transported to the recovery area, and gently slid off the table after one end has been lowered.

All steel parts are powder coated and all hardware/attachments are stainless steel or aluminum.

Power is supplied by a heavy duty 12 volt battery located in a water-proof box under the table.  A battery charger is used to recharge the table as necessary.

The table with accessories weighs approximately 500 lbs.
